Australia Satisfied With Security Arrangements By Pakistan

Army to provide security to Australian Cricket Team in Pakistan

Web Desk — This is indeed great news from Cricket Australia that Kangroos’ Test team skipper Pat Cummins has expressed satisfaction and said his team was “comfortable” with the security arrangements and “excited” about the upcoming tour to Pakistan, the first since 1998.

They are scheduled to leave this weekend before the first of three Tests in Rawalpindi starts on March 4 – giving them less than a week to acclimatize and without any warm-up matches.

There will be two Tests in Karachi and Lahore, followed by three ODIs and one Twenty20 in Rawalpindi.

“We are at the point where everyone boarding the plane is comfortable with where they are sitting. Security and logistics have done a tremendous amount of work,” Cummins said.

In these times, there is also the added layer of bio-security. After we get over there, we will be able to just concentrate on the cricket once we get there.

“More than anything, this is a really special tour,” he added. “We’re going to fly over there and experience something new. Everyone is excited.”

Australia Big Bash League

The Big Bash League (known as the KFC Big Bash League for sponsorship reasons, often abbreviated to BBL or Big Bash) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Australia. The Big Bash League replaced the previous competition, the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, and features eight city-based franchises instead of six state teams. Since its inception, KFC has sponsored the competition. It is one of two T20 cricket leagues, together with the Indian Premier League, that rank among the top ten domestic sport leagues in terms of average attendance. The Perth Scorchers won BBL 11 (2021/2022) by defeating the Sydney Sixers by 79 runs in the final.
