Trump won't call for Imran Khan

Web Desk — Defence Minister Khawaja Asif believes that US President-elect Donald Trump will not call for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s release from prison.

The Defence Minister said people should wait 15 to 20 days to see what stand he (Trump) takes. “We don’t think Trump will call for the PTI founder’s release,” he added.

PTI founder Imran Khan congratulated the US president-elect, saying that he will improve “Pak-US relations based on mutual respect for democracy and human rights.”

PTI leader Raoof Hasan says that the party had never hoped that Trump would play role in Khan’s release from jail.
