Web Desk — Asad Umar, the federal minister for planning, development, and special initiatives said that it was “100% Imran Khan’s decision” to send former premier Nawaz Sharif to London for his medical treatment.
He said that he was present during a meeting held by the premier during which Nawaz was discussed whether to travel abroad for treatment. He further said that there were six to eight other PTI members present at that meeting.
In a cabinet meeting, this was first discussed, he said, adding that the decision was entirely made by the prime minister. The premier did not deny making the decision.
Additionally, he said that the party’s senior leaders attended the meeting, but everyone had different opinions.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the medical reports upon which the decision was made were false, according to Umar.
