The aircraft of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) landed safely in Toronto despite heavy snowfall.
PIA’s plane survived a major incident at Toronto airport, thanks to a vigilant pilot who safely landed the aircraft despite the heavy snowfall.
The Boeing 777 plane was near Toronto airport when a blizzard hit and heavy snow started falling. The pilot, however, was vigilant and managed to land the plane safely at Toronto International Airport.
The PIA flight-797 had reached Toronto from Lahore.
As soon as the plane landed, Toronto Airport Authority staff cleared the runway and the surrounding area of snow using machinery on an emergency basis.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan International Airlines, Arshad Malik, commended the captain and the flight crew for landing the plane safely.
CEO Arshad Malik also thanked the Toronto Airport administration for removing snow from the runway immediately so that the plane could land.
