Honhar Laptop Scholarship Program 2025: How to Apply?

Web Desk — The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has introduced the Honhar Laptop Scholarship Program to provide the best technological facilities to needy but capable students.

The program aims to distribute 50,000 laptops and merit scholarships to deserving students across Punjab within the next 90 days.

Key Highlights:

• Laptop Distribution:
• A total of 50,000 laptops, including advanced Core i7, and 13th-generation models, will be distributed.
• The first batch of 5,000 laptops will be distributed within 30 days, with the remaining laptops allocated by February 20.
• Beneficiaries:
• 2,000 laptops are reserved for minority students.
• Top-performing matriculation and F.Sc students will also receive laptops, along with a ceremonial Guard of Honour.
• Scholarship Categories:
• 20,000 laptops for university students.
• 14,000 laptops for college students.
• 2,000 laptops for medical and dental students.
• 4,000 laptops for students in industry and agriculture sectors.
• 32% of laptops will be allocated to students from Southern Punjab.
• Chief Minister’s Merit Scholarship Program:
• Special support for female students, covering their full tuition fees for up to five years, benefiting 18,000 female students.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicant Must:
• Have domicile from any district of the Punjab
• Not be older than 22 years of age on the closing date
• Family monthly income should be less than Rs 300,000 (Affidavit Required)
• The Applicant must be enrolled in Selected Disciplines in the Selected Universities / Colleges in the fall session 2024. Students already enrolled in 1st year of MBBS and BDS in 2024 are also eligible for this scholarship program.
• Minimum FSc./Intermediate marks:
 Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges ≥ 80%
 Federal and Private Universities ≥ 70% for Sciences and ≥ 65% for Arts and Social Sciences
 Public Sector Universities ≥ 70% for Sciences and ≥ 65% for Arts and Social Sciences
 HED Colleges ≥ 65% for Sciences and ≥ 60% for Arts and Social Sciences

How to Apply?

Eligible students can apply through their educational institutions. Selection will be based on academic performance, with priority given to top-performing students and minority groups.
