Web Desk – Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Ali Amin Gandapur, clarified that no final decision has yet been made regarding the launch of the Civil Disobedience Movement, emphasizing that the announcement of the movement comes from PTI’s founder, and the provincial leadership will act according to his direction.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gandapur stated, “It is still unclear how the Civil Disobedience Movement will be executed, the stages involved, or how it will officially begin.”
He further highlighted the financial challenges faced by KPK due to a lack of cooperation from the federal government. “The center is withholding our funds, but we are determined to secure our rightful share,” he asserted.
Regarding peace in the region, Gandapur stressed the importance of dialogue with Afghanistan. “Peace cannot be achieved without engaging with Afghanistan. The federal government must revise its policy to ensure long-term stability. While maintaining law and order is a federal responsibility, we are fully committed to playing our part.”
Gandapur also shared positive developments within KPK, including a 24% increase in provincial revenue. “IMF has recognized our good governance, and KPK performs better than other provinces. Several development projects are currently underway,” he said.
Criticizing the current federal government led by the PDM coalition, CM KPK remarked, “When PTI was in power, KPK enjoyed peace. However, the PDM’s focus shifted state institutions towards targeting PTI instead of ensuring security, giving free rein to terrorists.”
