Saudi Arab Grants Nationality To Elite Foreign Athletes

Web Desk — As part of a royal decree, the Saudi government has granted citizenship to several elite foreign athletes.

Under Vision 2030, the Kingdom will grant Saudi Nationality to people who have served the country in various fields.

According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, there are three women among the athletes who have been granted Saudi citizenship.

American footballer Maryam Al-Tamimi has been selected for the Saudi women’s national team and plays for the Al-Ittihad club. She has been exceptional in her field. Maryam Al-Tamimi secured her former team, the Sharqiya Flames, first place in the Eastern Province League in 2021.

Maysan Hussein, a 15-year-old French tennis player, has won multiple championships and tournaments in Saudi Arabia, including finishing as the runner-up in the women’s singles event at the 2023 Saudi Games.

Tasneem Al-Qassab is a Syrian Muay Thai fighter. Representing Saudi Arabia, she won the 2021 Saudi Women’s Championship and placed third in the Virtual World Championship that year.
