Web Desk — Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arab announces the start of the Umrah season with the issuance of Electronic Visas (E-Visas). Umrah pilgrims can now arrive in the Kingdom on the first day of Muharram which falls on July 19.
The applications for issuance of e-visa would be submitted through the Nusuk, known for streamlining the process of welcoming Muslims to the holy cities. Through the platform of Nusuk, individuals from around the world can easily apply for e-visa and access a range of required services.
Nusuk is a ‘one-window’ solution for information related to maps in multiple languages, residency, and other issues related to the Umrah pilgrimage.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah earlier announced that Muslims holding visas for tourism from Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, those with entry visas to Schengen countries, the US, and the UK, have the opportunity to make reservations for Umrah through the Nusuk application before their arrival in the Kingdom.
Now the applicants can obtain the Umrah visa within 24 hours, and its duration has been extended from 30 to 90 days. Moreover, there are no health requirements for obtaining the visa, and women are not required to have with them a male guardian or Mehram.
