Why did Amir Khan Divorce Kiran Rao? Amir Reveals Why?

Web Desk — Bollywood actor Amir Khan says he divorced Kiran Rao in order to give respect to the marriage institution.

Amir Khan who usually does not talk about his personal life opened his heart out about the reason for his separation from his second wife Kiran Rao. Amir Khan was speaking in an interview with News18 India.

Why did Amir Khan divorce Kiran Rao? What was the reason behind it? The Bollywood superstar answered: “I wanted to give respect to the marriage institution and that is why I divorced Kiran Rao.”

Talking about the cordial relations with ex-wives, Amir Khan said he had divorced Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta but the mutual respect and fondness were still there. “It’s difficult for people to understand. This is because, usually, we don’t see a band like this (among couples who separate).”

Explaining the reason for his split with Kiran Rao, Amir Khan said the relationship between them had changed.

Amir Khan said he was too young at the time of marriage with Reena Dutta, his first wife. He said despite the split with Reena Dutta, he has a strong association with his first wife Reena Dutta.

He told the channel, “Me, Kiran ji, Reena ji, and Satyajit Bhatkal have collaborated on the Paani Foundation. In short, Reena Ji and I are also working together.”

Aamir Khan told the channel that couples do tend to fight after they separate. But that did not happen with any of his ex-wives, whether it was Reena or Kiran. He also said that his younger sister, Farhat is married to Reena’s younger brother, Rajeev Datta.

Amir Khan and Kiran Rao have three children Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and Azad. The couple still cares for the children and doesn’t wish to cause them pain due to family issues.
