However, News18 earlier reported that Dhoni will start his film career in the Tamil entertainment industry as a producer. According to Indian media, the film will feature Nayanthara in the lead.

A recent report by Indiaglitz, as mentioned by Pinkvilla, revealed that the former Indian cricket team captain will be making his acting debut with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s project. It is said that Kanagaraj was quite eager to cast Dhoni.

According to unconfirmed reports, Dhoni’s debut film title will Thalapathy 67 with Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role.

The Tamil film industry’s noted filmmaker and screenwriter, Lokesh Kanagaraj directed his first film named Maanagaram in 2017 which became a massive hit at the box office and won many awards.

How Dhoni performs as a film actor is yet to be seen but fans are eager to see him “keeping” well in his future endeavors.
