Veteran Actor Firdous Jamal Diagnosed With Cancer

Web Desk — Veteran Pakistani television actor Firdous Jamal has recently been diagnosed with cancer, his son confirmed in a social media post and said his father was undergoing medical treatment at Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital.

Sharing a memorable picture with a heartfelt caption on his Instagram account, Hamza Firdous wrote that his father was going into a Cancer recovery treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital. However, he asked fans not to worry as his father was recovering and that all his dearest friends, work colleagues, fans, admirers, and well-wishers were there for him.

The legend actor’s son further added that his father became an actor against all odds, adding that luckily the odds were in his favor. Hamza Firdous requested everyone to pray for the ailing actor.

Firdous, who is basically from Kherber Pakhtunkhwa, started acting with a Hindko drama Badnami Dey Toway in the mid-70s, and since then he has appeared in hundreds of television dramas, stage plays, and radio projects.

The star actor also acted in nearly 50 films. Some prominent films that Firdous Jamal worked in include Sayeeban Sheeshay ka, Man Chale Ka Sauda, Mehboob, Pagal Ahmeq Bewakoof, Saahil, Piyari, Dhoop Deewar, and Ruswaiyan.

He was conferred the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 1986 for his commendable achievements.
