Sinf-e-Ahan was Nadeem Baig’s critically acclaimed venture in collaboration with ISPR. The drama was one of those rare plays that ask women to believe in their capabilities and prove their metal in this challenging world. With gender discrimination and patriarchal mindsets as its central idea, Sinf-e-Ahan is an excellent show of women empowerment. Hats off to Yumna Zaidi and Sajal Aly’s astounding performances.

The Shahzad Kashmiri directorial was a big hit and Ahmed Ali Akbar’s superb performance as Parizaad was no doubt epic. The drama revolved around a dark-skinned student who was ridiculed because of his complexion and whose loyalty made him a multi-millionaire. The story was full of memorable performances by Ahmed Ali Akbar, Urwa Hocane, Nauman Ejaz, and Yumna Zaidi.

6. Fraud (ARY Digital)

Saba Qamar needs no introduction. She not only ruled the silver screen with back-to-back hits but also entertained her Television viewers with a power-packed performance in Fraud. The drama discusses the social issues being faced by our women usually after marriage. Saba Qamar, as expected, did her role with brilliance, proving yet again that she’s amongst the finest actors we have today.

7. Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (ARY Digital)

With Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, Danish Taimoor as Shamsher created mass hysteria. In the play, he went to all extents to get Mehak (Dur-e-Fishan Saleem). Shamsher (Danish Taimoor) in his bid to do so eventually loses his life. Undoubtedly, KaisiTeri Khudgarzi was yet another outstanding product that will remain in the viewers’ minds for a long time.
