Web Desk — A Bilal Lashari film, “The Legend of Maula Jatt,” has finally released its long-awaited trailer.
The director of historical action flick Waar, offers his second directorial after a decade, with superstars like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan coming together onscreen after their classic drama Humsafar to retell the culturally iconic character of Maula Jatt in a grand manner.
There are extremely high expectations attached to the film because of this immense hype.
Maula Jatt is depicted in the two-and-a-half-minute promotional video and captions as the fierce prizefighter with a tortured past looking for revenge against Noori Natt, Punjab’s most feared warrior. According to the captions on the promotional video, the original story of Maula Jatt may be based on this.
This trailer is dark and gritty from start to end, with captivating visuals and thrilling sound. It has a lot of action sequences and introduces the main characters in an intriguing way. Amongst all the blood and gore, there is a hint of a romance between the two leads, Fawad and Mahira.
Not only is the trailer a dark visual delight, but it also features a high-octane dialogue penned by the legendary Nasir Adeeb (who also wrote Maula Jatt). The scar-faced Fawad Khan, the fiery Hamza, and the intense Gohar Rasheed all have intense looks. According to the trailer, the show seems to be dominated by the leading male characters, as the female characters appear to struggle with their dialogue delivery. However, Humaima’s sensual snippets with Fawad Khan are extremely hot.
The visual effects, sound design, costumes, and action sequences keep you hooked and want to watch the trailer repeatedly. Jhelum city’s historical Rohtas fort is intelligently recreated and extensively used in the film. Some keen viewers might notice that the trailer feels outdated since it took 10 years for the film to be completed and released. Despite this, the trailer is still grand and packed with adrenaline.
