Kubra Khan Threatens To Sue Youtuber Adil Raja For Defamation

Kubra Khan sue Adil Raja

Web Desk — According to a news published in Dawn, actor Kubra Khan has threatened to sue a London-based Pakistani YouTuber for levelling baseless allegations in a recent video that four “top models and actresses” had illicit relationships with top military officials.

Retired Maj Adil Raja,in a video released on New Year’s eve, made several sweeping allegations against the former top leadership of the army. On social media, Adil Raja introduces himself as a geopolitical analyst and rights activist.

In his video, Adil Raja alleged that the four “top models and actresses” had illicit relations with the former officials, as well as with politicians.

However, instead of giving any proof, the youtuber quoted sources behind his information.

Raja by playing smart mentioned the initials of four women he was making the claims about — M.K., M.H., S.A. and K.K. or A.K.

Adil Raja’s video lit fire on social media. Later, actor Kubra Khan came forward and posted on her social media account that she would sue Raja in the UK courts for ‘defamation’.

She said, “I stayed quiet initially because obviously a fake video isn’t going to take over my existence but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Do you think random people can point fingers at me and I’ll sit quietly and take it?

she posted on Instagram: “You have a total of three days to come up with this proof which you claim is haq and sach. If not, either retract your statement and publicly apologise or I will be suing you for defamation… Lucky for you I’m not just from here, I am from UK so I’ll come there if I have to.”

Mehwish Hayat and Sajal Aly, without naming Raja, also slammed “baseless insinuations” and “character assassination” in the wake of Raja’s video.

Mehwish Hayat posted on her verified Twitter account “Just because I am an actress doesn’t mean my name can be dragged through the mud. Shame on you for spreading baseless allegations and insinuations about someone you know nothing about & even bigger shame on people who believe this [nonsense]. This just shows the sickness of our society that laps up this gutter journalism without any thought. But this stops & it stops now! I won’t allow anyone to defame my name.”

Likewise, Sajal Aly also wrote on her Twitter account, “It is very sad that our country is becoming morally debased and ugly; character assassination is the worst form of humanity and sin.”
