Web Desk — James Cameron’s directorial Avatar: The Way of Water (aka Avatar 2) is a sequel to the 2009 film Avatar. Besides direction, James Cameron also penned the movie. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana will be the main cast of the flick like the previous movie. Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel, Cliff Curtis, and many others will also be seen in supporting roles.

cinematography is done by Russell Carpenter while Stephen E. Rivkin, David Brenner, and James Cameron did the editing. Behind its background score and music composition was Simon Franglen.

James Cameron and Jon Landau produced this movie under the banners of Lightstorm Entertainment and TSG Entertainment. 20th Century Studios distributed the move globally. The film’s estimated overall budget is between $350 and $400 million.

Plot Line

After a decade of the first film, Avatar 2 – The Way of Water tells the story of the Sully family and their problems. The film shows how they fight to stay alive, to keep the family safe, and the tragedies they endure during the journey.

Sam Worthington, in the Avatar’s first climactic scene, transformed into a full avatar and killed the antagonist, Colonel Miles Quaritch. The story, in The Way of Water, opens with the hero having four kids and having settled with that Na’vi clan. They devised a new mission to eliminate the Avatar’s chief, using the memorable moments of the evil Quaritch.

The rest of The Way of Water’s story revolved around how the heroes fought the humans’ intrusion and either managed to flee or strongly ignored the mission and persisted in their existing Na’vi land.

Release

Avatar: The Way of Water was released in theatres on December 16, 2022.
