Web Desk — Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) has been the prime victim of the troubles the auto industry has been facing in recent months in Pakistan.
According to an update from autojournal.pk, Honda Atlas couldn’t sell even a single unit of its flagship sedan last month, bringing down the total sales significantly. Under present circumstances, Honda has decided to extend the production shutdown to 15 more days on March 31.
An official notification from HACL says the supply chain was disrupted due to the worsening economic situation as well as restrictions on raw materials and CKD imports.
The latest production shutdown will continue from April 1 to 15 while the last production shutdown remained in effect from the 9th of March till the 31st.
Now it is obvious that by the end of this shutdown, Honda will have observed a car assembly shutdown in Pakistan for 38 days.
According to auto industry experts, Honda is likely to struggle in terms of sales in the future as well.
