According to media reports, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) will stop producing one of its most popular car brands known as Cultus in Pakistan. The company is going to discontinue the Cultus production in the coming months.

Why is Suzuki Cultus Production Being Discontinued?

According to media reports, Suzuki wants to sell Swift and Alto. The Suzuki wanted customers to flock to the new Swift because “Cultus was dangling midway between sales of Alto and Swift,” they highlighted.

Additionally, it has been stated that Suzuki wants to increase Alto sales in addition to Swift. According to PAMA data, 9,814 Alto units were sold in March 2022, 5,009 in April, and 5,461 in May 2022, respectively. This demonstrated that since March, the sales of this car have decreased by about 50%.

Brief About Suzuki Cultus
In 2017, Pak Suzuki introduced the new model Suzuki Cultus 2017 in Pakistan. The hatchback is available in three different models: the VX, VXR, and VXL.

Since its debut, it has dominated the 1000cc class. Airbags, power windows, power steering, an immobilizer, keyless entry, and alloy wheels are some of the car’s standout features.

Cultus experienced a production delay a few months ago due to an airbag shortage.
