Suzuki Car Prices Increased in Pakistan

Pak Suzuki goes from profit to loss

Web Desk — Following the footsteps of its competitors, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd (PSMCL) on Friday increased the prices of two-wheelers by Rs8,000-15,000 and four-wheelers’ by Rs99,000-1.615 million.

In a circular, to its authorized dealers the company said that the new price of Alto VX, VXR, and AGS models is Rs1.425m, Rs1.675m, and Rs1.886m. Wagon VXR, VXL, and R AGS models now carry a new price of Rs2.019m, Rs2.129m, and Rs2.319m.

The new rates of Suzuki Cultus VXR, VXL, and AGS are Rs2.250m, Rs2.474m, and Rs2.662m while Suzuki Ravi carries a price of Rs1.216m.

Suzuki Swift GL MT, GL CVT, and CLX CVT prices have been fixed at Rs2.694m, Rs2.908m, and Rs3.169m while Bolan Van, Cargo, and Bolan AC models are now available at Rs1.283m, Rs1.270m, and Rs1.370m.

Jimny and APV imported models are now priced at Rs6.049m and Rs6.290m. In two-wheelers, the new price of Suzuki GD110S, GS150, GS150SE and GR150 is Rs207,000, Rs225,000, Rs242,000 and Rs330,000.

According to economic experts, the automobile assemblers across the board have raised the prices by an average of 9.4pc in March 2022 to pass on the cost pressures emanating from the continuous rupee devaluation against the dollar, rising freight charges, and an uptick in commodity prices.

The highest price jump of 30-36pc was witnessed in Suzuki Cultus, Wagon-R, and Kia Picanto, while the lowest price increase was recorded in SUVs such as Kia Sportage and Tucson in the range of 14-17pc.
